Mammography

Mammography is a procedure for screening for breast cancer (the commonest cancer in women). It uses a special type of x-ray to detect very small masses that may not be felt by breast examination. Regular mammography can detect early stages of breast cancer. This reduces the cost of treatment as well as improves the outcome of the disease. Get a mammogram now and save your life.

Pap Smear

Pap smear is an office procedure for screening for cervical cancer (the commonest female genital tract cancer). It allows early detection and treatment of pre-cancerous changes in cervical epithelial cells. This is cheaper and easier than treating cervical cancer. Regular screening has been shown to significantly reduce the deaths from cervical cancer. Abnormal Pap smear is an indication for referral to a gynaecologist. Remember that prevention is better than cure. See your healthcare provider today and get a smear.
